TITLE:

Entanglement

YEAR:

2025

We are bound in a web of interconnections,
Traces writhing through time,
Tentacles expanded, rippled, and woven.
These patterns flow for millennia,
In a myriad of tendrils,
Stretched out and interlaced.
Pumping hearts through veins,
Beating wings and trodden feet -
March, stampede, swim, and murmur,
We move with the tides.
The cinders of our forests glow,
As we reach a time of unprecedented looking away,
Letting our minds slip into a well of absence
We hunt for abundance in scarcity,
Hands clawing deeper as they start to bleed.
We lean towards a horizon of chaos,
With no time to inject colour back into the coral,
And as we continue to ignore the signs,
The waters lap at our sides,
Salt crystallising in the space in-between.
Time expanding as the cycles change,
Intangible futures abstracting our thoughts,
And doom distorting our agency.
We still have the choice to face the darkness,
Re-envisioning through our entanglement,
Tentacles expanding as the waves diffract,
We move with the tides.
