I grew up in the British countryside, where I connected to the natural world, and frequently felt the vitality of the elements against my skin. In my early twenties I moved to Berlin where I grew in my pivotal years growing as an artist, by learning from others, creating collectives with my peers, and co-founding a community ceramics studio at 90mil Berlin.
I completed my masters in Ceramics & Glass at the Royal College of Art in 2026. My practice centres around ‘the body’, in a broad term, by thinking about bodies not only as living, but also geologically and materially, to question our entanglement with the more-than-human.
Writing is an integral part of my practice, and it acts as a portal into the visual. I view my writing as two arms of the same practice, language informing form and form shaping the flow of language.
I’m fascinated by the endless possibilities of ceramic materials. The infinite malleability of clay and the diversity of surfaces, in which I am the alchemist. Alongside ceramics, I also work with glass, metal and wax, materials which also change state and come from the Earth.
My work tackles difficult topics, it is confronting, and there is a rawness and vulnerability to it. You may feel anger, sadness, fear, hope, or even be inspired. I hope you will feel more connected to yourself, to the others around you, and to the Earth.
